My Second Birthday
On December 2, 2016, I was born again.
On that day, I wrote
my first blog post, and it marked the beginning of my thinking life.

Yes, that day was certainly a leap in consciousness for me.
Looking back, what I now attribute to the beginning of my thinking life, was the day I picked up Tony Robbins' Awaken the Giant Within at 17. I still remember the moment. I have a picture of it in my head:
In the bedroom I grew up in. On my bed. Page 4. Looking at the page. Briefly looking up. My brain turning on, literally like the flipping of a switch. I don't think it's a stretch to say that I became conscious in this moment, the moment I realized my destiny.I feel as if I was hardly a conscious being before that day, as I had never written anything besides school papers before. That is, I never had to think.
That's what writing does, it makes you think and expand upon your ideas in a way that you would never have done had you not begun writing. It's awesome, and I think everyone should experience this. Start a blog, write a book, or at least do something that makes you think.
added 8 years laterAnd now it's been nearly a decade. Compounding is cool!It seems crazy that I've only been thinking for a year and a half, but it's true, and I'm excited to see what is to come with the next year and a half of my thinking life, and even the next 20 years.
