Words Shape Our Reality

By changing the words we use to describe our emotions and experiences, we can instantly change how we think, feel and live.

If we want to change our lives and shape our destiny, we need to consciously select the words we're going to use, and we need to constantly expand our level of choice.

People with rich vocabularies have a multi-hued palette of colors with which to paint their experience.

We must get rid of disempowering words by replacing them with new words that break our negative emotional patterns. For example:

"I hate" becomes "I prefer other things"

"Frustrated" becomes "challenged"

"Confused" becomes "curious"

"Overwhelmed" becomes "maximized"

"Stressed" becomes "busy"

"Disappointed" becomes "underwhelmed"

"Determined" becomes "unstoppable"

"Problems" become "action signals"

Furthermore, we can use "softeners" to lower the impact of negative experiences. Instead of saying "I'm absolutely destroyed", we can say "I'm a bit challenged at the moment"

One's choice of vocabulary may very well be the difference between misery and happiness, so choose wisely!

He said, "re-read your latest blog post." Lol, true.
